What topics would you like to discuss? You'll have to wait for me to pick up the head for anything interesting to be said, though I did get my best segment today, still need to test the wai sometime, mehbe on the way home from work, but I'm somewhat in trouble at home so who knows,

Matt, dan might be a vx, so soon you'll be kicking your own arse.

Well don't keep us in the dark, how good was your segment today?

No word yet about the vx. My wife will kill me if I get another car. In that case the Del Sol will be on the auction block, and I will be in the dog house.

Why not just sell the del sol now and ride the subaru while you look for the vx??

Vx's are very hard to find. I might be driving the subaru for years. The best I can get out of it is 33 mpg, half of what the del sol gets. Unless someone makes me an offer I can't refuse, I will hang onto it until a vx comes along. Still keeping the fingers crossed on this one though.

I think your next best bet is to swap the cx tranny and call it a day. With the vx you'll probably only get 5-10 more mpg and waste a good amount of money.

5-10 mpg and enough seats to carry the two kids on the days that I have to pick them up from school. The vx is more practical, lighter, more FE and hugely more aerodynamic. It's a no brainer for me.

For me, money is not wasted if you learn something from the whole experience. Im not sure that I will loose money on the deal anyway.

Plus the VX looks better.

Anyway, he'll do better than 5-10 mpg out of the vx, I'd say, because, c'mon now, it's a vx.

Anyway, the segment was something like 49.8 according to the MID, which still sucks.

Can you say, LEAN BURN! Anyway, remember my thread about built in FE? The vx has more built in FE than the Del Sol. Should I get hypermiler burn out, I shold still be able to get 60's with the vx just driving like the average joe.[/quote]

I dont think the MID sucks. The fact that you are continually improving tells me that the MID is working, and that your suckyness is diminishing. That would be a great advertizing slogan for the mid.... Drive more, suck less.
