I bet your computer keyboard is pretty greasy.

I'm being useless now, so bid you good luck and good night!

Keep at it: I swore up and down a couple of years ago I was never going to put wrench to car again after some particularly difficult jobs and stupid mistakes on my Accord. But I could never stop tinkering.

I generally wash my hands before I get to the keyboard. I shoulda taken a picture after the night with jared. When I showered before sleep (6am) I had blackness mixed with shampoo for a solid minute.

Killed my post, darn.

Anyway, I think that's the issue, but now I'm scared to wire the park switch and see if everything is all right,

crap, i totally wasnt thinking when i put them together. thats got to be it... crap.

just take them off. i havent had them on my cars (4door and hatch) for 4 years and it rides fine.

Yeah, I don't care about them, don't have them on the back,

Hopefully I'll connect the wire and drive off like no biggy.

Just got back from the victory lap, which consisted of twice around the block where I tossed a 17mm socket and a 1/2" to 3/8" converter and then a trip to 7-11 to buy a double gulp (64 oz), damnit forgot the cherry I was so excited, and a jar of iciing. I left the lights on there and was almost screwed. Got home, very bouncy, damn suspension, haha, but everything is good. The tach quit on my partway through, I think the connection got bumped out from extreme sucky suspension.

Anyway, updated list:

(Wire) VSS
(Wire) Cluster plugs
(Buy) Rear mount, tranny portion
(Buy) Misc. shift linkage bolts
(Buy) New shift linkage pin, from Honda
(Do) Figure out what to do with the transmission cooler stuff
(Wire) Reverse lights
(Fix) Vacuum leak, I guess we unplugged something
(Fix) Riding on the dust covers,

Because of the dust covers I couldn't tell much about the ride, but here's why I almost had a heart attack:

Couldn't get it in gear, it was tough to figure out where to set the clutch cable, ain't perfect, but fine tuning goes after fine working, Then I forgot and left the e-brake on and couldn't get it going, thought I messed up the clutch install. Then the socket stuff feel out the back. Then left the lights on and watched them dim greatly as the car struggled to life. Then the bouncing on the way home and no tach or vss was scary.

But still, for the first time in a while.

COngratulations, I think? Is everything OK? Does the VSS to the MID work? Does the MID now register km/L?

Dan, you're funny....

Right now I have the broken vss plugging up the hole. I have no vss or mid hooked up, not even a tach. Hell, I don't even know how I'm sposed to wire the dang vss up. There are many issues, the last of which will be fixing the vss/cluster/mid. If I can get the tach going in the meantime I'mm be happy.
