Just heard from my clutch guy, he managed to get the CRX clutch so I don't have to buy the crx throwout bearing and match it with the hydro kit, wippee! Saves me 23 bucks I don't have. It'll go out priority on monday so hopefully you all will see a picture thursday night of it.

Mini-DIY: Replacing Valve Cover Gasket, Spark Plug Thingies, Grommets

I'm missing two nuts, actually one, but two at this time:

Pre-removal of old stuff:

The new stuff:

Emptiness in the back:

The new grommets look like no good:

New stuff in the back.

No nuts on, but the grommets:

Need to paint the grommets black and find another black nut:

This works great on most engines except Hondas. Nearly all of them rotate the other way, but still have right-hand threads on the pulley bolt. The engine is on the drivers side too... most other FWD have it on the passenger's.

Bummer! That could pose a serious problem. Now, if you could just figure out how to make the starter turn backwards......

Can't you just hook up the leads to the battery backwards?

I will be putting the crank pulley back on with a very large torque wrench and a tool designed to hold the flywheel so it does not move.

It may cause the ECU to be highly offended.

It wouldn't help... the Bendix drive keeps it from engaging backwards. Holding the crank pulley is the only way to go.
