I found one at http://www.import-catalytic-converter-warehouse.com for $178.05 shipped. The dealership wants $579.05. I will wait to hear from Ben about his friend's cat.

By the way, does anyone have a hood latch laying around for a 92-95 civic? Mine is fuxored. I hope I used that word correctly?

Indeed there are many nice people there. Everyone I interacted with was extremely nice and helpful.

Yeah people over there are extremly nice. I used to live in that part of the region and most people said hi to me when they walked by me on the street. Here in Cali it's nothing like that.

Stating the obvious here, but if there are no sensors downstream of the cat, then replacing it will improve emissions but will have no other effect on engine performance.

Many people choose not to change the cat in that situation. But I suspect Dan's not one of those people.

Well, if the cat is clogged it will seriously hamper performance. I drove a 4runner once with clogged cats and it would barely start, not to mention go anywhere,

There are two benefits. First, I have to pass an emmisions test every year in PA. No passy, no sticker. If I never get stopped then no prob. I just don't like to tempt fate.

The second benefit is that the smell makes me nauseous. I want it to go away.

Trouble CODfishing. SOmetimes the engine wont start, just spins. Cranking won't start it. Only if I turn off key, wait 15 sec and then crank. Then it starts. Any ideas what could be the problem?
