You gassavers should get more videos of yourselves doing hypermiling on this site. I'm amazed of just how far you can travel with your engine off, kickflipjr! My city it so flat I could see a dog running away for 3 days, so the only EOCing I can do is when I'm taking a freeway exit, or coasting to red lights.

Nice vids, KFJ! I love where you catch up to the truck while codfishing.

It's even more fun when you can pass other cars with the engine off.

I thill think that is better overall. You don't waste so much energy breaking. And you never encounter the stoplight in the middle of a hill (that is the worst).

For that 2mile fas a regularly run out of brakes towards the bottom. But i am only going around 20mph and can mash them if I need to slow down.

Do you mean you run out of vacuum even if you don't press the pedal?

Haha!

My commute to work is only 7 miles each way, so there's not much space to EOC. Going to work, I do get one segment of about 0.5 miles of EOC, and on the way home, I get a segment of about 0.9 miles of EOC. The rest is pretty flat. I typically restart the engine by letting out the clutch when I get down to 60 km/h. I try to accelerate to 90 km/h before EOC'ing.
