Thanks for the info. I'm trying to figure out how to do that (update my garage).

**I'm also going to figure out how far to drive behind the 18-wheelers so on my return drive to Virginia on Monday I can (hopefully) get my MPH up to shorten my drive...but still reap the benefits of high MPG.

Just be carefull. The 18 wheelers don't like that.

Count off 3 seconds on a ground mark and you should be at a safe distance. I find the draft at 2.5 seconds back is pretty good - if they are going faster than 65mph the effect is extended so you can be back further. If you can get behind a few trucks in a convoy that is where you want to be or even in the next lane will help. Make sure the truck has good mud flaps so you don't get stoned. I just don't like the fumes behind a truck . . . after a while I get a little woozy.

I took a practice run today after hooking up my Microzone 100 ozone generator and got some good results. On my usual 5.1 mile test loop I got 75.4 mpg at 27 mph average. My gas guage is just barely below the 1/2 mark at ~425 miles. The SG2 is saying 50.3 mpg but from past experience i believe it may be closer to 55. I'll have to fill up and see.

Don't forget to calibrate when you fill up - you can adjust the fuel metering that the SG uses to measure the gas used so that is more accurate. When you do the fillup you adjust the gallons that is shows up or down to match the amount that you put in since the last fillup.

Yeah, thank goodness for the fuel usage adjustment. The SG said I used 8.5 gallons when I only used 8.003. It also, calculated the mpg at 50.3 instead of 54.1.
