I'm glad that 400mile tank is over with. I don't really like driving on E for 70miles. Now I just need a 40mpg tank.

Just another bright idea - keep a spare gallon of two in a can in the car and vent it to the intake of the engine so not to waste any of the fumes. That way it is easier on your nerves.
If I had any more room under the hood I would put one there but I think an overflow catch can at the filler spout is my next idea I will try. Last time I filled up in PA . . . yeah been back over a week and still have gas to burn . . . the pump when running really slow didn't shut off and gas was pouring on the ground. Not sure what they use to sense the fluid level in the filler spout . . . anyone?
