I just drove the Civic into work this am. My normal 40 mile drive in. The SG posted a 52 mpg number for the drive in. This raised the tank ave. to 50.3 mpg. Air temp was 65F when I left the house this am.
I raised the tire pressures up to 50 psi about two weeks ago from 44 psi I had been running for months. Really didnt see a increase at all on the mpg.
I installed the engine belly pan and its in the 50 mpg range. HUMMM. I knew there was alot of air getting up into the engine compartment but never guessed it would be that much. If this trend continues I will be looking into getting the HCHII's undertay panels for the engine and the two that go under the passenger compartment.

I was able to keep the 50 mpg ave. on the trip home yesterday. This am I came in with a 54 mpg ave. and am knocking on the door of 51 mpg for the tank ave.

Damnit, I'm really jealous, you need to give a detail of your route!

gas log
Guys - I just filled up again without spilling any on the ground for the second time in a row but darn close to the top - I figure that I can get about half a gallon more in the tank after the first click. Anyway looking at the MPG graph in the gaslog it seems it is still going upwards and this time I didn't put anything in the tank - no Marvel oil or Acetone or Xylene or GP7 - just to see what will happen to the mileage. So far from what I can see it is still running way up in the mpg but there was about 3 gallons in the tank with the additives. Looking to see what happens with the idle and the GPH - so far I have seen it come down to 600rpm which is the lowest I have seen it - usually 650-789 weird numbers I must say.
Visited my old Geo yesterday and my god it needs a bath! Gonna check the alignment with the quick patch that is on it and if it is looking good will just weld it up as it is. Inspection is expiring after next month and registration the month after so time to cut bait.

This week has been warm and dry. A good combo for FE. So far I am at 68+ for this tank, approx 250 miles. I start my vacation tomorrow and will take the family to the beach in the Prius. The Del Sol is in for a rest so no new tanks until the week of the 26th.
By the time I am back, Ben will have another 1000 posts.

Two personal bests on this tank. Filled up with a total of 38.9 MPG and a new tank record of over 500 miles.
Did a little more fishing on this tank than the last. Still hoping for the 600 mile tank. Hoping by end of August to get there. FE did increase from 1/2 tank down but that's to uncontrolled to tell anything. The first 250 miles was 37.5 MPG and the last 264 miles was 39.2 MPG according to the scangauge. After this tank I'll just run it to 1/2 and see if the FE continues to climb.

No it's mixed. Average speed on a tank of gas is 30-35 MPH. I have yet to make a highway run and need to plan a long trip just to see what the numbers would be. I want to try and get 650 miles out of a tank. I think it would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 41-42 MPG with the areo mods I've completed. When I started this my original goal was for 40 mixed and 45 highway so I'm getting close.
