Yes, very fun. I'm strating to see that doing a P&G between 20 and 35 mpg in 4th seems to work pretty good. This time I didn't even get up to 45 in the one spot that I usually do when setting up for the .5+mile glide to my driveway. I figured out what speed I need to be at where the uphill portion of the glide starts and planned accordingly so I would be at that speed at the end of my last pulse.

OK hold onto your hats guys 538 miles on 12.0 gallons The low fuel light came on as I was recording my readings at the gas station before filling it up and it took 10.004 gallons to the top (.5 after first click) and I added 2 gallons from the old Geo (pre-ethanol gas) since I filled up in Pa almost 2 weeks ago Tuesday.

44.8 mpg. Nice work! I'd bet that, with some work, you could pull that up to 47-48. You may have to hurry though since winter "crapoline" is coming.

Yeah and that was driving back in rain with the lights on a lot plus driving around here for a week and a half beating on it. Today my tank average it 50.9mpg for the tank since I filled up today - some of the better roads and I got the idle down to .1gph several times today - not sure why but I didn't add the Marvel oil or the Torco at todays fillup plus pumped the tires back up - they lost 3psi.

Yesterday I beat my best tank by 3 miles...now I'm up to 473.5 miles! Still trying to get that 500 mile tank.

Way cool! With a bit of seat time, I predict you could be at 75 mpg easy.
Here's how my day went so far. On the way to the wife's work I got 56.4, from there to my work was 69.0, from there back to pick up the wife this afternoon was 72.6, and from her work back home was 62.6. This is a little bit better than usual. I have started to pulse between 20 and 35-40 in 4th gear. The rpm's are just a touch higher than usual when going to near 40 in 4th but I think with the lower average speed and longer coast times the FE seems to be better. In fact, the afternoon trip from my work to the wife's work today was anywhere from 8-12 mpg better than it ever has been; even since coming back from Wayne's.

Hey Larry how come your not pulsing 35-40 in 5th gear? Obviously it working cause your killing the FE but wouldnt the RPM be lower with a lot more throttle or does the gearing not allow that. Wyanes World if you build it they will come
Edit: never mind I re-read the post.

New record
I just got back from picking my daughter up and set a new record. In 5.3 miles I hit 83.3 at an average of 25 mph.

Today's numbers for me are 64.4 to the wife's work(new record), 72.2 from her work to mine(new record), 61.3 from my work back to the wife's work this afternoon, and 50.6 back to my house. It was raining this afternoon which is why the afternoon numbers were a bit lower than usual.
