I am very pleased with my current tank but I am not ready to fill up yet so I can't give you any accurate numbers. If you have a Metro you learn over time about how much fuel you have used based upon looking at your gas guage. If the guage was divided into 10 equal parts (5 above half and five below) then my guage would be sitting at the first mark above half a tank. So I am guessing I will get another 50+ miles before it gets to the half tank mark. Generally when it gets to the point where it consistantly stays under the half tank mark it will take 4.5 US gallons. I already have 270 miles on this tank. Obviously this is all guesswork at this point but it looks like I could exceed 70 mpg on this tank! I got stuck in a 5 mile backup a couple of days ago but I guess it didn't hurt me too much. It really is hard to get the best mileage when you live and work in a place like the Washington DC area.

Over 60mp...finally!

Just a little note...I refilled today and broke the 60mpg barrier. New stock size 145 tires and LOTS of coasting. 285.9mi/4.491gal = 63.66mpg. Lets see if I can repeat or top this next tank.

I agree with you, my fuel gauge is about the same...I filled up right when it started staying at 1/2 tank (4.491gal). Sounds like you have a few miles extra on me...this tank.

XFi,
yesterday I used another part off that XFi you sold me. So now I have incorporated the camshaft and a washer. My son and I still laugh about the night we drove that thing home.

Glad you made it I didn't have the 'stones' to drive it down to you. Thanks again for the lead on this XFi.

I guess it's the warmer weather but the FE intensity has really launched at GS. Look back at the start of this thread. 60 MPG was the barrier. Only Metro and krousdb were close and everyone else was trying to break 40. Then 366 post later we are looking at 80 MPG tanks with lots of folks banging on the door. It will be interesting to see were the limit is.

Good job XFI.

You've made huge leaps yourself, zpiloto. I'm glad you've stuck around, it's interesting to see the heat turned up on the autos,

Can't wait to get a tank done on mine.

Yea I've been waiting for you to get everthing up and running and tweaked to see where you come in at. Once you get the MID going you'll really going to soar. So hurry up
