It's just a scary swap. All of that extra stuff to figure out what to do with. The EGR, the heated oil filter thingy, the extra ECU wires. I would like to find a VX in good condition and get rid of the Del Sol Some day. At least I could fit the whole family in it. The other option would be to buy a rusted out VX that ran good and swap out engine, harnesses, ecu etc. Too much stuff going on at work to pull that off right now. I'm happy with mid 60's with the Del Sol. BUt as soon as your fancy assed CRX posts 70 MPG tank, that will get me motivated to get serious about a VX.

I hear you. Breaking 100 on my city loop feels like that. I'm tempted to say, "I'm givin' 'er all I've got, captain!", but I'm also aware that I don't know what I don't know. Maybe I'm still missing some obvious technique that would get me over that hurdle.

More likely, I expect I'm just going to have to wait for another stretch of hot weather when the car is all buttery slick, super glidey and closed loopy.

Swimming up stream

I had the commute from hell today and set a new record I caught 13 out of 19 red lights. I still had good numbers only 1.5 below my best and set a new FE record on the way home beating the old by 1.4 MPG. I put some side fairing on and I think it really helped. I'll start a new thread with pics for that.

I ended up getting 33.22mpg @ 302.7 miles. That is good considering the conditions.

I prefer Crest with baking soda. It's recommended by 4 out of 5 dentists you know!

I'm looking forward to the return of the GasLog. I always head right there when someone posts a fill-up to see how it compares with their recent tanks. Glad it beat your expectations though!

My average is 32.1 or something like that. Since i have been tracking milage my average has continued to go up. But i thought it was going to go down with this tank (I was close).
