Official Mile Club.

It doesn't matter what car you have, if you achieved 500 miles in a single tank then you've accomplished something.*

*Must be mixed driving! Because a lot of cars can achieve 500 miles on the freeway in a single tank.

**This will give a good perspective for new members and is something easier to accomplish than the top 10.**

Post if you are 500+ miles.
Please include under which number you want to be.

A * sign next to somebody's name indicates they have a pick up truck or a 18 wheeler.

I think I might be able to get a 600 mile tank from straight highway driving, but to get it under mixed driving, I'd have to do more modz.

500 miles?! That would mean Id have to get 35 mpg. Hmm.... I just started FE driving on this tank, and im pretty sure it might break 400, which is big for me.

I used to get well over 500 in my Holden Jackaroo (Isuzu trooper) with its turbo diesel engine ...but I guess the two long range fuel tanks might have helped just a bit.

I have an 11 gallon tank. The most I've gotten so far was 39 mpg, which was not even 400 miles.

But that's combined driving. I have never taken this car on a trip long enough where I am on the freeway for a whole tank.

I'm going to start out with the goal of 400 miles or 40mpg, which ever I can get! Too bad it's starting to get cold so this may have to wait until next sumemr.

I think the requirement that it has to be mixed driving is kinda silly. a 500 mile tank, regardless of how you get it, is huge.

Neat idea, Compaq.

But where'd you get my 600 mile fill-up? I've never done that.

I fill up once a month whether I need to or not, so I don't forget how to use the pumps at the gas station.

I haven't driven far enough in a month recently to do much record breaking, distance wise.

If I extrapolate my last tank: 358.9 miles / 4.44 gallons, I should have been able to go 854.5 miles on the full tank (10.5 US gal). But it would have taken me 2+ months.
