My experience with Hondas and Toyotas (Scion specifically) has also been very good. Both have lifetime averages 5-6mpg higher than their EPA combined estimates.
To be fair to Subaru, the 2013 Impreza sample size is still relatively small. For 2012 (I believe it is pretty much the same model) 29% of Fuelly drivers hit the EPA 30mpg combined estimate.
Percentage of drivers who meet EPA combined estimates for some other vehicles (all data from Fuelly):
2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid: 3 percent (average is closer to 38mpg than 47!)
2012 Camry Hybrid: 35 percent (average is about 39mpg rather than 41...)
2013 Ford CMax Hybrid (non-energi): 4 percent (average is about 39mpg)
2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid: 13 percent
2007-09 Camry Hybrid: 71 percent
