well, i really hate taxes(we all know this right?
)! and i realize it is my responsibility to pay them. but, no doubt they are increased because of over spending in gov't and those that do not pay their fair share.
there lies the rub! since we can't fully control gov't spending, let's require EVERYONE to pay taxes. that's "fair."
if a change is made, it seems a better choice than the flat tax. as i said earlier, it may not be perfect and amendments could be made along the way. obviously there would be those that would spend less to avoid paying this consumption tax, but the rich would buy and be taxed more. again,fair.
