Drove to Wynyard SK with very little wind. 64.0 mpg for the one-way 2 hour trip (driving 50 mph the whole way). Had the donut tires on for the trip & they're still in good shape .

Took the Accord on a trip today. 218 mile round trip from Okmulgee to Norman, Ok. and back. I don't drive the car much now days. Bet I haven't put 50 miles on it in the last 6 to 9 months.

I transfered the SG into it. set it up for the Accord. Same setting I use for the Ranger and off we went. We had 10 to 20 mph winds out of the south. With bands of heavy rain to deal with. Got 40.6 going and 40.8 coming back. with a high of 41.5 going and a high of 44 or so coming back. The SG reported the tank at 40.8 mpg for the tank.

These numbers are low for me in the Accord. But the weather wasn't good either. Coupled with the fact I don't drive it much anymore and I hate the damned 5AT worthless POS AT tranny in it. I just get sick of fasing it and all the key starts. I look forward to transferring my mother on to my brothers home later in the week in the Civic.

Trip to Ottawa yesterday to the EV association's monthly meeting.

78.x mpg (US) on the return trip, but I lost the "to" trip value when my bro in-law and I put my SG1 in his Camry hybrid to play.

I'm guessing this tank is sitting somewhere around 75 mpg.

Managed to get my ball joints replaced and will be getting my alignment done tomorrow morning. I got stuck in the gas station again this morning. Car wouldn't start and ended up having a jeep with metal bumpers push me 10 feet so I could bump start. Gotta see if I can bend my hood back in place, doesn't close quite right now . Managed to make it to work on time though.

Was looking and saw that I could pick up an insight for 4-6K with 150K miles or so on it. That doesn't seem like too bad of a deal. And hey, if the battery ever decided to quit on me I could just yank the thing and run with the 65HP engine alone. Should be light enough at that point and still be able to hit 60MPG without trying TOO hard.

I was driving my brothers 96 Civic the other day. That thing coasts like no other compared to my car. Which is kinda the reason I was thinking of switching again. I would go for an old 1980's honda or something but I am afraid of what an suv would do to me in an accident .

I applaud all of you, your gas-mileage is unbelievable to most of the people on this planet, including me until I tried your tecnique and it worked!

I had a pretty good day. I ended up with 70.8 for the day and a new PR for one of my segments. It was a 5.2 mile segment and I ended up with 152 mpg.

Congrats, slurp. Feels good eh?

---

Filled up tonight (my May fill up, whether I needed it or not!): 4.76 US gal., 383.5 miles = 80.5 mpg (US) (fill calculation).

I can't tell you my average speed over the tank because I lost the ScanGauge cumulative info when I used it in my sister's Camry hybrid this week. But it was probably in the low-mid 30's mph.

This evening's sub/urban round trip to the auto parts store & then to the gas station: 7.1 miles, 36 mph max., 15 mph avg. = 113 mpg (US) (SG data).

Going to the garage to add the tank info...
