My Winter Gas Mileage Keeps Getting Worse

This winter I filled up twice at 26 miles per gallon. This is terrible as some V8s get this for highway driving. I am back up to 39 miles per gallon this last fill up. Granted I did more highway travel (about 60%). Does anyone else experience such a drastic difference between the seasons?

not that bad but maybe 5 or 6mpg lost. Intake rerouted under hood helped a little.
