My newest gassaver mod!

We're having another baby, so my wife is walking 1 hour a day. The stroller she had was a lousy walmart folder and annoying. So I shopped craigslist and found this bueaty for $5. It has seen better days but we only need it for 1 year. My favorite feature is the incredible hulk tire on the front. It originally was ALL GREEN! Its now faded 2 tone gray. The rust is also nice touch. I mended it in a few places and tied my bike bag under it. She loves it. She now does 80% of her shopping and errands locally on foot. It has made a drastic change in our mileage. I've been stuck in the 40s this tank will be over 50mpg mixed everyday driving.

Cool. When are you going to add the solar panel shading device and deep cycle battery?

The kid does love it. You can see a lot places on your own 2 feet. Plus momma and baby get lots of vitamin D sun.

It would be fun to make it so that it could be switched over to being a bike trailer, too.

It needs some duct tape.
And cupholders.
Hey, isn't the deep cycle battery already installed? I see it between the rear wheels!

Currently getting +/- 50 mpg in fall weather. EPA is 31/39 so not too shabby. WAI, fuel cutoff switch, full belly pan, smooth wheel covers.

Now driving '97 Civic HX; tires ~ 50 psi. '89 Volvo 240 = semi-retired.

Oh man, now I need to build a slightly larger version and call it an automated rickshaw! Or something. That'd be fun.

Very nice find, we have one by jeep that is similar but not as long (ours is more of a regular stroller and not a jogger), but the 3 large wheels is AWESOME. I just kind of like pushing it around just because, it's never gotten stuck anywhere and is perfect for walking through trails and campsites (ours has rear shocks too, which is really funny and really smooths out the ride for the baby).

Walking everywhere is awesome, I wish we had a better neighborhood for that (and not a giant hill!).
