Your car seems to have done great, 40 MPG with a driver hitting it hard is impressive. I will have to hand my car off to my brother for a few days and see what happens. Not sure he would want to give up his Civic for that long though .

I'm not sure why with the EGR unplugged it seemed to get better mileage. I will unplug it again to test it. Overall I think its bad for the emissions system and could cause long term reliability issues. More data coming next tuesday. Yes I thought the mileage was respectable too.

lol got that covered too, cat is off one car and i havent noticed a difference in the others. my truck has its egr totally gone(made a plate out of steel to block the opening, will cause a major vacum leak if not) and before i couldnt get better than 25 now im getting 29.4 was my last fillup. this is with a vacum controled egr(same as theyve had since like 1974), maybe the modern electronically ones seems to help. but id curious to know lovemysan, so please test away!

I'll block off the EGR next fill up and see what I get on the 'ole VX.
