My wife had a '95 with a 3-speed auto. It drove well but I hated the transmission. I could not get decent mileage out of it. The only way I could improve mpg was to drive slowly.

I checked on the scanguage, 50 mph- 2000 rpm, 60@ 3000, 70@ 4000, 80@5000.

I think the car redlines at 6500, so max speed would be around 95 to 100 mph.


yes, its that bad, without lockup TC and only a 3 speed. The 4 speed had the same 3 gears, but had an extra 4th gear.
