i like the philosophy behind this car... unlike big car manifacturrers showing of with halfhearted hybrid of ev concepts, these people take conventional technology and try to get the most out of it.
i think the cars of the future won't come from big car manifacturers... the real innovation will come from small daring companies.... of course by the time these vehicles will really start to threathen the established brands they'll suddenly "invent" competing models and try to put the newcommers out of business.

I forgot who said it, but here's a quote:
"Small cars mean small profit."
Theres no way that this car will meet the latest USEPA smoke and NOx emissions regulations, so there is no chance it will come to the USA.
The Loremo could come to America if it uses modern gas engine technology. A one cylinder, long stroke, four valve VVT engine with direct fuel injection displacing 400 - 500 cc would make about 40 HP, and it would smoke the Loremo's puny and heavy diesel engines. And get about the same mileage as the diesels.
Any of the major automakers could provide such engine technology to Loremo. I'm certain they won't. See the quote above.
