Yep, my 94 VX lean burn, VTEC-E was EPA rated at 46/56.
That is under the old method. The new method would be 42/50... You can check the new ratings compared to the window sticker ratings at http://www.fueleconomy.gov/
You should also look at the date of the original post.. It was made in 2005, so it is over 4 years old.
My neighbor has talked about a gas saver that he found in his fathers old garage (deceased) he claims he picked up 3 mpg on his 2002 Ford Expedition. He gave me one to try on my 2001 Ford Taurus and will have to see what happens. It took less than 15 minutes to install and right now I just started my car and the dispenser is bubbling. For better or worse Im gonna report back the results. I currently average 20 mpg overall.
saturn, reading over another members post they said they were able to pull more mpg out of their sl1 than a metro, i just hit 44mpg not trying too hard
fuel economy.gov has saturn sl1 5speed as same mpg as mitsu mirage 1.5 5spd 1999

After having installed the Platinum Fuelsaver I am currently averaging 23.3 from 20 mpg. On one highway stretch recently I got 31 mpg which this vehicle has never gotten more than 27 on highway driving. Seems to have more pep.
