Last two trips San Antonio-Austin-San Antonio...great mpg

My Jeep Liberty CRD (Diesel) seems like it has fianlly broken in a bit. I have 50,000 on the 2.8L Turbo Diesel and have been getting very good highway mileage. The think weights 4550# and then you add me at 230# and Diesel (not the fuel but my dog) at 70#...I am rolling out at least at 4850#. I have been getting 31.5mpg on the 122 mile loop going ~ 68mph.

animals are known to lower blood pressure, therefore making you more patient with hypermiling. so, the dog's weight becomes insignificant compared to his/her company.

can we set up a test to (dis)prove this?

He also is a great car alarm...The other benefit is that I work him out at least 35 miles per week...plus sprints...so he keeps me a bit trimmer too.

Debunked... My wife can be considered an animal and she seems to add anxiety instead of patience to the hypermiled trips.
