Just ordered some VX rims......
Hope that will get me at least a couple MPG better than my stock steelies.
I'll post up some pics when I get them and get them on.
Is hoping for 2 or 3 mpg too much to ask for?

2 to 3 might be ambitious, unless you're getting good LRR tires to go with it.
Regardless, they look really cool

Ok it was nice to wish for 2 to 3 but I will take 1 if that is all I get.
Oh they will look better than my steelies. I have different style and different color steelies on now so anything will look better.
I will try to get a weight reduction number when I get them changed over.

what tires?
What tires are you going to use with them?
I noticed around a 2mpg increase when I switched my two front 175/70 snow tires on steel rims, back to my 165/70 tires on vx rims, it's the best comparison I can give.

it all depends on the driving you do. they wont do anything for highway driving but you might get less than 1mpg in city driving. its hard to quantify.
anyway to answer your question, 2-3mpg is beyond way to optimistic.

Have I ever said how much I wish I could have put my VX rims on the Blackfly? Oh, right. I guess I have.

I've been looking for VX rims for a while, most of the time one of them is curbed or the seller wants to much for them....then theres shipping....where did you get them/how much? Mak

I got them for $230 shipped with new tires on them. The look to be in good shape with minimal "curbage." I found them on Honda-Tech for sale threads
