I noticed taking off without throttle is only good on level surfaces. On an incline, even a small one the car chokes. I only use the no throttle feature when pulling out of a parking lot or backing up.

Eh, I'm too lazy to spend half an hour finessing my way out of a parking spot. Throttle ftw.

insturmentation can be very annoying, for example the sun shining in your face while your driving! (Do I have to give in to sunglasses ?) Sometimes I forget to hide the scanguage from my dash so when it cooks in the sun (it gets disabled until it cools down) I'm better off just driving without it.

And without instrumentation and espically in the city, I can avoid potholes better although kinda scary I"m starting to memorize which potholes come out of where... :O

although sometimes in 5th gear I can't figure out if my foot is doing the job properly or not so instrumentation there is a gassaver!

Plus you can't go wrong with checking engine codes and other goodies like battery voltage.

Not likely. He doesn't "need" it.
