I'm shooting for my best tank WITHOUT the SG2

Since I pretty much fixed everything on my car I'm going to shoot for my best tank without the scanguage..

I noticed on my fillups that my worst numbers were with the scangauge...I don't have any recent numbers because they are just horrible. In fact I removed the scanguage from my car. My highest tank is 42.24mpg combo driving but the scangauge was installed the last 120miles. My goal is to beat that number without the scangauge and it will be combo driving. My current tank is going to be done on tuesday or wed. and i'm hoping for 40mpg.

I'm going for the record on my next tank.

Any opinions, advice...

I also posted this on CleanMPG but I want to get as much opinion on this as possible...I actually think the SG2 distracted me so much from the road that my MPG numbers were lower...

Yeah I expected you'd get better mileage, removing the weight of the scangauge and it's electrical load makes a difference!

Good luck. I also dont know whats going on with my car. I assumed it was the cold weather, but now I'm thinking its mechanical related. I used to average 50-55mpg, but now Im struggling to hit 45mpg.

My record is 78mpg for half the tank. I was hoping to hit 80mpg this spring...

I had a cracked manifold and my mileage was crappy, not to mention i had no torque and I already drive a civic..After i got the manifold replaced there is so much more torque at the low end I think that's what makes my numbers go back up.
