I was thinking about having the body shop to cut around the rust and weld in some metal. But bodywork is after the other repairs. Have to fix her up before August 13th since I have to drive to Buffalo, NY for school. Hopefully I can make it there (460 Miles) with a tank of gas. I'm going to use the SIL throughout the entire trip. I know that the mileage will be affected due to stuff I have to carry back. Desktop, laptop, a suitcase and some junk.
Well this car is up for sale as I just purchased a 1993 VX with 85K miles from the original owner! Just less rust than this and can't beat original owner. A 71 yo MIT professor who only drives 10 miles a day. And it comes with a full tank of gas! Just missing the front lip now....
