Looks suspicious. I don't see how a shift knob could tell you anything about FE. If it works, great.. you won't see me rushing out to buy one though!

Go with what is proven -- Scanguage II.

Already got a SG2.

Perhaps the accelerometer/electronics sense rate of acceleration, or lack there of, thereby sequencing the counter to the next higher gear # to prompt the noob driver to upshift. Though I'd think that any experienced manual driver would instinctively know to upshift before redline when driving normally (for FE).

So it's basically an aftermarket upshift indicator. Neat, but I'm not so sure I want to be looking that far down in the cabin while driving.

My 86 CRX has one of these too. It is called the shift light.
So is this new one any different or is just running off vacuum too?

Survey says... What... are you nuts? What's this thing supposed to be good for?!

Q: "I've got this yellow "UP" arrow light on my dash that comes on. It goes out when I shift. It's rather distracting!"

A: "Shift earlier so the light doesn't come on, doofus."

david: Yeah, I realized that as soon as I posted. Felt like an idiot, but what is one to do. Guess I could have edited my post...
