Does picking up hitchikers count ? Last year, I had a neighbour start her car and drive to the university at the presise same time I did. Often we'd be right behind each other and end up parking in the same parking lot. Talk about a great carpool opportunity (but how would I get home?). I don't know my neighbours that very well though.
