I am partial to the PLX devices, they are about $300. You can have a digital readout of realtime AFR and still emulate a narrowband signal to the ECU.

I'm not sure if the 23:1 refers to the actually AFR of the engine (I doubt this) or the usable range of the o2 sensor.
