How come....?

the categories for ranking hypermiling efforts are only Gasoline, Hybrids, Motorcycles, and Diesels?

Just thinking it would be more entertaining as well as stimulating to the competitive spirit and experience to have subcategories too. Like cars, trucks, SUV's, minivans, crossovers, sport bikes, scooters, sport tourer, cruiser, off-road and ? It would seem to be a better way of comparing apples and apples.

What are opinions on this?

It would add another field to the database. Is that a big deal?

If we get a category for turbocharged fwd 2 door sports cars I might be able to stay in the top ten for the whole year!

I agree that we should, but then I'd really see how poorly I'm doing...stupid short trips.

Thanks! I'm also continually impressed with how well the advice I found here at GasSavers has worked for me.
