Yeah, the Ford full size cars seemed to all do quite well once they switched to fuel injection. Even my great aunt's 88 Lincoln Town Car used to get 26/27 on the highway. I just looked it up, and 20% over EPA highway would be 31.25 MPG, should be quite doable to get the car close to 40 with some agressive mods.
