Well it seems to be working out. Now that its nearing 10,000 miles the last three thanks have averaged 20.5 mpg (1097.7 miles /53.66) on 57% Highway / 43% City. So thats 5.5 mpg above the EPA Combined while running the speed limit.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I don't know much about the 4.7 liter motors. The Hemi gets all the attention from the Mopar folks. I think the Hemis may have cylinder deactivation, allowing them to run on 4 cylinders at cruise, which explains why they are rated higher on the EPA ratings.
I ended up going the cheap route and bough a regular cab, 2WD 6-cylinder Chevy... but mine is 15 years old.
My mileage is barely better than yours.
