Re: GS members with "personal bests" on their latest fill-ups. Woo hoo!
I used to have an 87 CRX-HF, which unfortunately I totaled last year. Best I ever got on the 87 was 55mpg, and would average 50-52 in the summer.
Now I have a 91 CRX-HF (last year made) which is a little heavier but geared taller and a bit more aero. Did a ton of restoration work (too much to list here), and now averaging around 60mpg this summer. Best tank 64.9, hope to beat that soon as just installed an mpguino. Last few tanks:
110417: 555mi/9.9gal = 56.06 mpg
110423: 555.5mi/9.358gal = 59.36mpg
110429: 566.7 mi/9.343gal = 60.655mpg
110522: 556.5mi/9.447gal = 58.907mpg
110527: 594.6mi/9.179gal = 64.78mpg(!)
110602: 549.3mi/9.081gal = 60.49mpg
110625: 575.9Mi/9.602 gal = 59.98 mpg
110707: 589.5mi/10.02gal - 58.83mpg

Re: GS members with "personal bests" on their latest fill-ups. Woo hoo!
13.633 gallons took me 535.6 miles in my 2008 Civic Si. That was good for 39.28 mpg. not bad, considering the car is rated 21 city / 29 highway / 24 combined.
My last 8 tanks have averaged a bit over 500 miles.
My best tank ever was 680.4 miles in my VX (stock motor and transmission). I think it only took 8.7XX gallons. I remember that the tank was 77 mpg.

'92 VX 50mpg. 380 on 7.6. 50% interstate, 70mph, no A/C, cool enough to run with windows up half the time. 30% mixed, 20% short runs.

New Personal Best!!!! Went 613.2 miles on 10.608 gallons. Most I've ever gotten on a tank and could have gotten more!!! Increased tire PSI helped significantly plus it was almost all highway driving. I'm pleased.

Re: GS members with "personal bests" on their latest fill-ups. Woo hoo!
My personal best with my Honda Accord 2.0 aut -03 (155hp no mods):
42mpg or 5,6L/100km mostly country road driving. 2 "cold" starts, some AC used and keeping it below 60mph. Almost no breaks used except when starting of and to come to a complete stop at the end of the trip. Semi p&g-driving (giving gas up hill and coasting in drive down hill with DFCO when possible).
According to the spec. the Accord should be getting 6.3L/100km country road driving (not highway).
