Geos also have a really bad rap with the public, and that could be the cause of the low price. That and the higher milage. I know most banks stop writing loans out to cars with over 120,000 miles on them, so that could also be the cause of the price drop.

Suffice it to say, there's plenty of reasons that the price could be so low and the car still be high quality. Price is all about perceived value, not actual value.

Yeah, I think the Honda Civics are fought over because of the popularity with ricers because wow you can put a 2 L accord engine in there and gain 30 HP. Plus all the aftermarket products available for Hondas

Exactly. same thing happened with old RWD corollas (technically not a corolla but it's the most recognizable name for the chassis). they were just another boring sub-compact till the anime Initial D came out then everyone wanted one, now they're all 3k+ for a base model in mediocre shape because of the 'takumi tax', named after the character in initial D that drove it.
