Gassavers meeting at Renewable Energy Fair?

Sounds reasonable. And (after viewing their video) the wife seems to think it looks like fun.

Of course, if some more gassavers.org folks show up, how are we to find each other? Is there going to be some booth that we can all meet at? Are we going to pass around our cell numbers (even assuming that cell service works there)? What?

Looks like Matt needs to come up with hat and jackets with the old GS logo

Might also be fun to sort of put on a little display of what we've done.

So who all is planning to come?

FWIW: I've already spent my $55 for a one year MREA family membership ( http://www.the-mrea.org/membership_form.php ), which includes "free admission" to the energy fair ( http://www.the-mrea.org/energy_fair.php ). And I've also put in for vacation time at work during that week. So (barring Murphy's Law) me and my wife should be there.

But the thing is, that energy fair is supposed to be HUGE. So we really should have a plan (beyond just wearing Gassavers.org logos) for finding each other once we get there! Yes, the energy fair itself should be nice, but as long as we are going there, I would also like to meet my fellow Gassavers members at the same time!

Well I expected that, as you were the one that suggested the place.

The point is, are we going to be the only two, or is anyone else showing up?

As long as it doesn't interfere with any upcoming gigs, I'll be there. I also might be going to the Rainbow Gathering in (probably) Arkansas this year, which should be fun.

The US Midwest is a good place for a meeting, and not just because it's a central location. People in that part of the US admire efficiency a little more than those in the rest of the country. At least, that's what I recall when I lived there many years ago. Now, just where in the midwest, I couldn't say. Ames or Iowa City, the university cities of Iowa, perhaps? Probably not Detroit, but perhaps Indianapolis? I won't be able to make it to Custer, WI in June, but sounds like a fine place to meet.
