starbucks

I was with my friends last night and they all wanted to go to starbucks to get some coffee. So I go in with them and watch them wait 10 minutes to order, then wait 5 more minutes for their cup to be given to them. One of my buddies paid $8.10 cents for a little piece of bread and a mocha or something. Another bought a minty flavored beverage and said, why wouldn't you want this, and put it under my nose for me to smell it. "It is just the greatest thing in the world, it makes me happy."

I just quenched my thirst with a water fountain. I just don’t get why anyone would want to buy that junk. If people are willing to plunk down that kind of money for a drink that will only last them 2 hours from the caffeine, gas prices aren't going to matter much to them I suspect. They will be disgruntled, but will still buy when it comes time. This is America, you can have anything we want right?

up again

I didn't get gas yesterday at my usual station because it was cheeper by 4 cents here in town until this afternoon and now it is the same at $2.919 - my friend with the big boat says I should sell my Geo after I fix it and just run one car because it is not worth having two until I explained the low rate of insurance on my second vehicle the xB as a recreation vehicle and that the price of gas is not going to level out at $3.00 a gallon . . . need to see what a little Torco and Acetone will do to the old Geo also and maybe that bottle of Slick50 too!

I typed out my reply and it

I typed out my reply and it got lost! I typed out a long paragraph. God I hate when that happens.

What I meant to say is I hate people who pay more attention to their cup of coffee than the road.

It had nothing to do with gay people, they are alright in my book.

That's all well and good, but try to act like you believe it in the future, is all.

I am quite confident in saying the future depends very little on US gas prices, but mehbe that's just me. If they went down a lot I'd think we'd be headed for more trouble.

Indeed they are. I think the US economy can take quite a hit before we really have anything to worry about.

The U.S. economy has been running on borrowed time for years. The longer the inevitable is delayed, the worse it will crash.
