Gas Prices

I hope this doesn't make people go out buy more SUVs, but here, gas prices took a plunge. It's $2.09 here in Kansas City. I heard it was because we have an excessive supply from when Katrina hit and a surplus from importing a bunch of crude. Is it the same around the Gassavers.org world? I hope this doesn't zap people's enthusiasm for saving fuel, because it's only going to go up again...

Just read this It's funny,

<a href=http://www.enterprisenews.com/articles/2005/10/30/news/opinion/opinion03.txt target=_blank>Just read this</a>

It's funny, saw this on the left side of the page, and I'm thinking the same thing as you, people will stop caring. I year or two ago 2 dollars was hell, and worth trying to save, but not it's heaven, and no one will care. Not as many people, at least.

For fear of offending people, I try to keep my politcal views from appearing on this website, but c'mon, this has GOT to be politically- based to boost consumer confidence, and restore faith in the current administration (which we know by polls is at an all-time low). Most people who try to save gas probably share my same political views, so I'll just leave it there). ;-)

Damn democrats, they wish

Damn democrats, they wish they could be socialists, but no. I generally don't bash bush because it's so annoying because I think everyone sucks, so why point him out, I'm big on communal stuff, so even if I didn't vote for bush personally, we all elected him, therefore I/we are responsible for him.

Have you seen my conspiracy theory thread on the news and gas prices?

I also like to keep my political views off of this website. There are people from both sides of the fence who want to save gas (for various reasons).

That being said, why would the current administration care what We The People thought of him? It isn't like he is up for re-election or anything. From where I sit, he hasn't cared about what we thought before, so why would he suddenly care now?

I think the lower prices could just be the market doing it's thing. I do forsee gas prices going up again. Consider this the eye of the storm.

...and now back to gas

...and now back to gas prices:

I saw $2.249 this weekend while driving through south GA.

On a side note, on 08/15/05, the BP down the road from me had gas for the low low! See for yourself:
