They actually READ and REPLY to e-mail sent to them!

I asked for EPA figures for my '76 Gran Torino with a 351 engine. I got a reply, a scanned page from an ancient paper pamphlet, and learned that 1978 and up guides are available in pdf format. Beautiful!

And yes, it's hideous, 12 city, 17 highway, 14 combined.

I wouldn't call that hideous, considering the age of the car, its size, the engine size, and the technology involved.

12/17 isn't bad at all.

Carbureted 351, 3 speed auto without lock-up, and 4400lbs.

I'm sure with an electronic ignition conversion, a locking converter installed, and a fresh carb tune(or efi conversion) that highway mileage would jump into the 20s easy and city would probably see a few mpg jump too(really only from the ignition upgrade).

lol i just sent em an email asking about 1980 chevette figures. they have a 85 chevette that i can look up but i know in 81 they used electronic timing advance (it was crap) then 82+ had a computer controlled A/F mix and a few other things controlled by it. mine was the last year of pure carb and vacum advance.

lol also for S*ts & Giggles i asked about my dads 1960 vw ghia and my 1929 model AA truck.

hopefully they will respond
