I see no real Cd efforts on that car. I don't think its hybrid of any sort.

Why would they even post a pic like that? The center caps have a H. The wheels them self look like early 7th gen Accord wheels. The more I look at the pic I smell a photo chop. it has elements of a Celica. And that ricky racer front bumper cover with the hard lines coming up to the front wheel wells.

I cant belive somebody would post that pic and claim PIII. Somebody needs to get fired IMO.

Very cab-forward of Honda. Also, while it is not obvious, I think they also had pictures of the DCX Bionic Car :

From the back, the rear window tapers inward just like the boxfish car.

The same reason that jetliners made by different companies look the same (optimized aerodynamic design) will also tend to cause cars to share major design features and look similar as they are made aero optimized.

I don't have a problem with that. I don't care as much about "styling" as I do about good design.

Just because two things look alike does not entail plagiarizism, and it is rediculous to run around saying so for absolutely no reason at all. You have no idea how the car was designed and what specifications it was designed to.

I see in the FCX many features from other Hondas, and a lot of ugliness. Wherever it came from, it is unfair to say without greater proof than a profile picture that the design was stolen.

How can everyone blame Honda just because all the 'good' designs were taken?

I did, on the japanese honda developement website. I don't think it looks like a copy at all. I think it looks like a star trekked out family sedan, but the glass roof is nice...

No no no no no no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honda was due because everybody stole the CRX rear "verti-window". Here's the Mercedez Benz Depressor :

If you want to talk about plagiarism, how about the recent "Volvo design aesthetic" that Honda stole. The "crimp" :

Volvo S80 :

Honda Civic Coupe :

It's all over the place.

Laugh out loud! In my painting class this semester in university, the professor got each student to paint an exact replica of a historical painting as close as possible.

"It's not Plagiarizing", she said. "It's nearly impossible to plagiarize an artwork. Look at Warhol's 'Four Mona Lisas' and Marcel Duchamp's 'L.H.O.O.Q.'. They've capitalized on 'copying' other's work. If you were truely plagiarizing, you should consider a career in making fraud art pieces".

As long as Honda didn't literally take the Intrepid concept car and place a Honda badge on it, they're ok. Any company can take the idea of a previous work and make their own version of it.
