EDIT: Just read the begining of the "recruit" thread. Looks like a new team must wait till the next cycle begins . 34 days to go
If you get your 5 guys together and it's a legal team before the end of the 3 week of the current cycle you're good to go. Look done about 10 posts. It's cover. I think the commish just has not had time to update the rules yet.

Just submit something like this to the commish with your team on it.

--------
TEAM 5: "The Leftover Bananas" (1st)
--------

trebuchet03 (Team Captain) ... MyDD ... '00 VW Jetta GLS ... No Report

OdieTurbo ... The_Last_SL1 ... '02 Saturn SL1 Auto ... 42.79 mpg ... 8.5%

Bill in Houston ... The Orange Toaster ... '04 Honda Element 5-spd ... 28.05 mpg ... 6.3%

rvanengen ... 1991 Mercedes 190e 2.6, 5-spd ... No Report

usedgeo ... SATURNFAN ... '01 Saturn SL 5-spd ... 63.1 mpg (SG)... 40.9%

That's just human nature. We are a prideful group. I think the line in the thread that say's something to the effect of " that's 20 mpg more then I have ever gotten in my metro" pretty much sums it up. YMMV

Thanks for linking to the thread at TeamSwift, very interesting. I didn't realise there were several people who were getting relatively poor FE out of those little cars.

I think certain members of TeamSwift could use a lesson in 'personal responsibility'. In other words, it's the difference between saying,
"my CAR gets X mpg" and
"I get X mpg out of my car"

I think that the team challenge has grown to the point now that we need to just give actual fill data on the stats page.It becoming a full time job to record and verify the info. So on Sunday TC just forward the actuall fill data only for your team. That way Rick won't have to spend so much time verifing and looking for the numbers and less chance error to not include SG and estimates on the final tally. Hopefully it will become automated and TC won't need to forward fill data any more. Thoughts or problems with just actual fill data only for the challenge.

Thanks Z

Thanks Z-

My schedule has me pretty swamped lately with work and personal stuff, and tracking 30 estimates per week is too time consuming. I can arrange a more automatic calcuation for weekly updates with fill data only.

Thanks all!

I have a question; Is it kosher to omit testing from our milage logs?

eg, I fill up and report my fill data to my TC. Then I make six runs up a mountain with a parachute behind my car (okay, with a bike rack on the roof). When finished testing, I fill up again and resume my normal, recorded driving.

I"m just curious if there is a time-out for intentional bad behaviour

No. All fills must be recorded.

P2k

I didn't know where else to put it, but it's post #2000 for yours truly.

Nothing to report, except:

68-degrees
Winds out of the East at 8-knots
Clouds broken, with a Ceiling of 5500'
Barometric pressure at 30.10 and rising...

RH77...

Except that that's 3.24 post a day.
