Where do you find EPA ratings for vehicles made before 1985?

good question. Was wondering the same thing. Those little 1970s Hondas prolly got some pretty amazing mileage.

You don't...they sort of exist in a sense, but they're all complete BS, so the EPA doesn't even post them.

They should be taken with a grain of salt, just like comparing the current testing schedule compared to the 1985-2007 ones, aka the old EPA.

hmm yea well according to the epa a 1985(as far as it would go back) only got like 28 on the highway, while i can snag a solid 33-34 just around town/mostly 55mph highways...so yea i dont trust them too much on those older cars

Keep in mind that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) didn't exist prior to 1970.
