From what I've been reading, light weight oil will do better than standard weight oil plus some fancy additive. I just paid $15 for 4 quarts of 5w30 "specially formulated" for engines with over 75K miles, and mean to try that out next time I change oil.

0w20 is often used, I use 5w20 for availability reasons. Otherwise, wildly varying opinions will be found, and none of them can I give you with any confidence.

I use Sea Foam in gas and oil a few times a year to make sure gunk is cleaned out, I'm not sure exactly what is in it, or how well it really works, altho it does seem to help, and doesn't seem to hurt anything.
I'm also used an oil system flush befor putting in full synthetic oil.

Other than the lowest viscosity oil you can safely use, I don't think you will find a single reliable source of evidence that anything you put in your engine (or gas tank) will improve FE. (Assuming an engine in good working order.)

My Saturn has 104K and I am using 0W20. In the last couple of thousand miles I haven't used a drop of oil nor have I heard any strange engine noises. :crossed fingers:
