The Scanguage does not know when the car uses complete fuel shutoff or not. That is one of the downsides of the Scanguage is that there is no standardized method to show complete fuel shutoff while coasting in gear.

On my car when it goes into fuel shutoff the Scanguage shows open loop instead of closed, but the MPG does not reflect the change.
