Then it'll look like my vx - ugly and dented, but gets great gas mileage!

2001 Insight, $4950, 190k miles. The miles scare me, but I also know that this engine could have more than enough life in it than I need... on top of that, I could always get a spare and swap it in eventually if need be.

The price is right, the location is right, the mileage is a bit high, but as long as the battery doesn't have any issues (it holds the charge, etc.) I think I'll go for it.
Mileage ... schmileage But yeah, check the battery out real good!

I'd call Honda, and find out just how much a battery replacement is....

I remember with the Prius, a lot of people were saying, "when the battery dies - big money" - but no one knew what "big money was." Turns out, it was something around $3K installed by the dealer insight Battery around $1200 I would assume there's markup and installation on top of that.

So at that price, it still sounds good considering it's age...

Just talked to a guy here locally and he said that it would cost $5000 to replace the IMA battery pack.

Seems a bit high to me.
