You will need the correct sensor unless you chip the ecu. Not any Wideband 02 will work.

So even if I use something like a PLX or Innovate wideband sensor I will still need to chip the ECU?

Do you have any information on how to go about chipping the ECU. Since there appears to be no chance of finding the correct O2 sensor for this it's either junk it or commit to finding a way around it.
