Efficient drivers, in their driving techniques AND in their higher MPG vehicle choices, were never the problem. Egotistical & inefficient drivers AND their inefficient vehicle choices have always caused the multi-headed dragons we battle.

Already many EV drivers are needlessly trashing their EV battery packs. They have been told how to treat their battery packs. With an excuse here & an excuse there, they know they are heaping abuse upon their packs. But they think, "oh...... I'll sell it in a year or two, & it'll be the problem of someone else, poorer than me. & I don' care 'bout poo' peeps".

Depends on your attitude to life though, I myself love life, and try to enjoy every minute. Havn't watched TV for years, havn't seen the news since August 2015. I'd rather be out making memories and laughing until I nearly pass out, and I rather be enjoying myself out on the open road too. Buying a Tesla and not using ludicrous mode is the same as going to a theme park and not going on the roller coasters. Trust me, my experiences in the last 7 years have taught me that life's too short not to enjoy it.

Its been a hot topic of discussion on my neighborhood's Facebook page that Sam's Club and Costco are in a price war, and gas is under $2/gallon.

Fuel prices have been dropping here of late, but this morning it was reported that the price of oil has jumped 5% overnight, now that Saudi Arabia and Russia have agreed to limit production, going into 2019.

I just paid $1.92 at my local Shell station here in Louisiana. Not bad, I'd say. I believe the average cost for RUG used in my 2015 Mazda3 for the past three years since I bought it new stands at around $2.06 per gallon for an average cost per mile to me of about 4.6 cents.

My petrol costs, here in the UK, work out at 13 cents per mile. And I get 45.2 mpg(US).

Since ya really enjoy driving, you'll use 100,000 gallons in a million miles of driving..... & at $3 per gallon, will pay $300,000 in your lifetime. Someone else getting 50MPG will use 20,000 gallons & pay $60,000 in a lifetime. Your 10MPG vehicle doesn't give you $240,000 more giggles in your lifetime....maybe $240,000 worth of tears.
