If the ECU has truly been cracked, it can be used for performance or mileage. A cracked ECU will allow you to adjust timing and fuel maps and reburn them on a ROM. I'll be using the Hondata S200 - previously used on my car to achieve 240 whp / 236 wtq - to achieve great gas mileage by tuning my car lean throughout the operating range.
