CRX HF D15b6

I want to get some extra torque and HP out of this lil D15b6.. Looking to do a intake manifold swap, Air box, throttle body and maybe ECU, (HF High altitude). My brain tells me I might get a bit more HP and torque from this ecu?..but I could totally be wrong.
I don?t want a rubber laying JDM monster, but a lil pep and 60 MPG would be bad.
I only want to use Stock OEM parts off Civic or a CRX.

Any Ideas, Had this been done before??

Thanks

Alex

The Hf is tuned very specific to that tranny. If you go and change parts on the motor you will lose a lot of power not to mention mpg. If you want more power the best option is to pu the si intake and ecu on. You would then have to change the tranny.

I don't think changing the ecu would get you more power. There will still be the same amount of air being drawn in the engine so in closed loop the ecu will inject the same amount of gas to get the proper mixture

I have a 89 crx hf. My old motor in this crx was the stock 8 valve that burnt a lot of oil and I was averaging 42-43mpg. I found a DX 16v engine with 100k miles on it on craigslist and swapped it out keeping the HF transmission, intake, ecu, manifold. My HP increased 50% and I now avg 45 mpg not to mention the car can actually climb hills with out down shifting now.
