crappy tank...

after 3 tanks in a row @38-39 mpg, I dropped to 36mpg on the last one. I just haven't been concentrating enough on FE.

Chin up ! Lapses happen , sometimes they're needed to re-enthuse the gray matter.

I used to have a 94 accord coupe ex-l. I never got 30mpg, average 25. I wish this site existed then, I'd probably still have the car. I was passing a bus(in a passing zone) and they turned into the side of me and totaled my car. Somehow it was my fault so my insurance is higher now too. Just because it felt so good to hit the gas, if only I had taken the opportunity to kill the engine and coast at low speed, I would have saved money and my car.

If you look at my mileage log, you will see the first entry is 25mpg, which is pretty much what I always got, with my foot in it, quite a bit. I didn't realize how much difference driving technique could make!
