Actually the problem is the compression stroke is pretty much the full length of the stroke but the power stroke that would return some of the compression stroke energy gets cut short since the exhaust valves open before the bottom of the power stroke thus reducing the pressure on the piston down stroke. Some heating of the air in the cylinder occurs (ala stirling cycle) adding heat to the down stroke nad if it could be maximized it could actually help a little to generate some heat from the residual engine heat.

hell with that, if i wanted to send windows to hell in a handbasket i'd just format and save the hassle.

I've always found that updating drivers that don't need it do a good job of that too.

only driver i update is for my video card maybe 3 times a year. if you want to be really safe just uninstall, restart into safe mode, use something like driver cleaner pro to get all the remains off, start into normal mode and install new driver. restart for that and done.
